Summer went by - and a glorious summer it was! Not exactly great for blogging - but I will catch up during the winter months. But before I start posting pictures of my projects in their various completion stages, let me share this life webstream event THE FOURTH PLINTH. Read about it on the Fourth Plinth homepage or on Wikipedia about the history of the Fourth Plinth.
A lot of knitters, many of them Ravelry members, journeyed to London and used their time on the Plinth to demonstrate and share knitting or knitting-related activities and ideas. For a complete overview of this year's Fourth Plinth see events.
This SkyArts event goes from 6 July to 14 October.
A compilation can be seen here. Question is: how does this happening tie in with Andy Warhol's 15 minutes of fame? Why are people so eager to climb that plinth in rain or shine and be on public display?
Is the plinth reminiscent of a pillory with a reverse meaning, fame instead of shame?
