Feather and Fan Wrap

Done to order and finally finished: I used my stashed Colinette Absolutely Fabulous Afghan yarn (Sedona) and based the wrap shape on Jane Thornley's pattern for the Feather and Fan Wrap. As Jane mentioned, there is no fixed pattern to follow, so increasing and decreasing is left to the individually required shape! Hence: no real mistakes, are there!

It's one of my favorite stitch--timeless classic. Your Colinette is very lovely and fitting for Spring. And Tulip in red...what more can one ask for! Beautiful wrap, Laura.

Oh Gorgeous! Light and pretty! Perfect for this inbetween weather- well, not so inbetween up here actually it is still very cold...I love the colours and the stitch. Well done, you!

Thank you so much Sarah and Linda Sue!
The wrap is indeed intended for the inbetween period - warm during the day and chilly at night. To get a very airy feeling I did not just knit one row and purl the next, instead on the knit row I knit a stitch and knit it again before proceding to the next stitch. Same thing with the purl row: purl one stitch and purl it again. This way the holes are more spacious and a weblike look evolves. Daughter Valerie will be using it sitting at her PC in her studio designing wallpaper...
